Had a weekend working in Stirling while others are seeing all sorts of exciting migrants further north in Scotland. Inspired, I headed to Alnwickhill as soon as I was back in Edinburgh. Well worth it too as there was a Black-headed Gull with nice white wedges with white primary 6s as well as p1–5s (see also here)! This seems to be an uncommon form, but even I'll admit it is not quite as exciting as a Sandhill Crane (well done on the pics JosephN - if they do not get Photo of the Week, I don't know what will!)!
